The Ranger Tug company is known for building a boat that makes great use of interior space and offers many large-yacht features through creative layout and seating.
The R-29 has been a popular model. The hull design has proven itself in the Pacific NW as well as Great Loop cruising on the East Coast. R-29's have been delivered as far as Australia.
It is unusual for a vessel of this size to be considered trailerable but similar boats move up and down the East and West Coast on a regular basis.

There are two fuel tanks on board. The main tank is 120 gallons and the auxiliary is 30 for a total of 150 Gallons.

Recent maintenance on the Ranger was hauled and bottom painted in 2021 and a custom mattress was installed in the master stateroom by Yacht Bedding. Included with the mattress was fitted sheets, custom fitted bedspread and a memory foam topper.

Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measures, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

The vessel is boarded through the transom door or down the built-in steps on both sides. Access to electrical systems and batteries is in the cockpit under the hinged-up steps. The engine hatch is lifted and lowered by an electric motor.

Moving into the interior you find the galley to starboard and the entrance to the mid or aft berth to port. The convertible dinette is located forward of the aft berth door The forward dinette seat hinges back to provide a forward-facing companion seat. A tip up shelf is located forward of the companion seat.

The helm seat tips forward to increase counter space in the galley. The microwave and wine cooler are located under the dinette seats.

The helm is forward of the galley and has access to the foredeck through a sliding door.

The access to the master stateroom is on center with the head and shower just to port. The TV is located on the aft bulkhead in the master stateroom. A small item, but important, is the tip-up shelf on the port side of the master berth --a good place for glasses , books or miscellaneous items during the night.

Overall the Ranger Tug R-29 provides a great cruising design and a very comfortable vessel at anchor.

Broker's Comments

2 VIRTUAL TOURS - 1 VIDEO - 90 PHOTOS - FULL SPECS & BROKER'S COMMENTS CAN BE VIEWED OF THIS RANGER TUGS R-29!

The Ranger Tugs R-29 is a compact coastal cruiser with salty lines reminiscent of a commercial tugboat and is loaded with clever features.

The interior includes a single level saloon, with galley to starboard and convertible dinette to port. The forward seat of the dinette hinges to allow seating at the dinette or alternately a forward-facing companion seat. Plus, the helm seat , when not in use, hinges forward providing a larger galley working space.

The stateroom, forward, provides a large double island berth and separate head with shower.

The mid or guest stateroom is comfortable for an adult or a couple of children.

The cockpit is really well designed with great engine access and two large storage areas port and starboard. The transom is expanded to include a sink with H & C water plus a bait tank.
