Broker's Comments
I have to say I do like the Beneteau range, I have sailed quite a few of them and they fulfil most of the things you’d want from a fairly quick all-rounder. She is comfortable, nicely laid out and this particular boat has been very well looked after.
The lifting keel enables the owner to visit plenty of places that dry out, and he says she sits very nicely on her keel stub and twin rudders. Surprisingly for a twin rudder boat she behaves pretty well under power at low speed, and provided she has a bit of way on berthing is no trouble.
The keel mechanism is fairly straightforward to dismantle for annual servicing – indeed it has just been done prior to this year’s launch. I was interested to know that the keel stub doesn’t seem to get clogged with mud, at least round the Solent most of the mud tends to just wash itself out when she re-floats.
The accommodation is very good for a 29-footer, the aft cabin is big enough and the heads are easily accessible and well laid out. She is clean and tidy down below, obviously well maintained.
Come along and see her – you’ll find a clean, tidy, well prepared boat ready for the season. The owner will be using her until we find a buyer, so when you come along the yacht will be in fighting trim and ready to go!
