Broker's Comments
What joy! I love this job. Every now and then one gets to be aboard the epitome of all that is great in this watery world of ours. This yacht exudes quiet élan, understated beauty and there, underneath it all, is the sheer power of a big rig, a deep keel, top quality sails… and if only my numbers had come up on Saturday!
I love the “traditional” layout down below – L-shaped galley, deep fridge, loads of storage, proper saloon (HUGE table), decent sized after cabins and very nice forecabin. You can tell very quickly if a yacht is what I would call “seamanlike.” Things like the forward facing chart table, and heads to port and starboard (at least one will be usable whichever tack you are on), are good indicators. Up above, wide side decks, lines back to the cockpit, winches (Harken no less) in easy reach, jack stays, decent sized cockpit lockers... I think I’ll stop talking now. Come and see this Dufour 40 Performance for yourself, here at Boatshed Port Solent, she is a thoroughbred. Enough said.
