Broker's Comments

Not sure why they called her “36,” maybe to try and fool those canny marina bods. She’s actually 12.2m including the bathing platform and the anchor gear, so she is a smidgen over 40 feet really. The saloon and afterdeck areas are ideal for the long drink at dusk, the accommodation is airy and spacious, and I love a fly bridge, the great feeling of control you get from way up there!

The thing that really blows me away is the size of the aft cabin – what whopper! There are not many 50 footers with a cabin like this, let alone a nominal 36! It actually has a bed, not a bunk, moreover it’s a bed you can get into, rather than climb onto.

Since her present owner bought her in 2008, this boat has been extensively re-fitted and refurbished, including new bronze skin fittings, new bilge pumps, new Calorifier, new galley, hob, Corian worktops....I could go on, but the best thing to do is to ring me here at Boatshed Port Solent and we’ll cut along and see for ourselves.

I like to imagine the lifestyle rather than dwell on the technical, after all that’s why most of us do this – leisure boating is fun, it makes us feel good, it sets us apart from the crowd, it gives us time to “stand and stare.” Do the passage plan, sail into the dawn and drop the hook in time to catch the sunset as you swing gently to the tide, watching all the life and vibrancy of an anchorage at dusk – but do so in comfort, secure in the knowledge that the yacht will shelter you, give you a comfortable place to sleep and a decent breakfast, independent, free of ties, alive!
