Broker's Comments

Every now and again we at Boatshed Port Solent get the chance to come up close and personal with a true legend (pun fully intended folks)!

What a great family cruising yacht this Hunter Legend 36 is! Huge double bunk in the aft cabin, great forecabin, really well laid out saloon and galley areas. Her navigation kit and electronics are second to none, just check out the list.

This beauty, for sale here at Boatshed Port Solent, comes with the added benefit of being the bilge keeled version, so even though she is a fair sized boat she can still “take the ground.” The possibilities open up hugely once you can do this, and you can sneak into those places where angels fear to tread!

These boats sail surprisingly well, in fact John Roberts and of Boatshed Cowes helmed a similar Legend to third in class in the 2010 Round the Island Race, beating many a “meaner” vessel, and coming 39th overall! Yes, 39th!! So if anyone out there has an “opinion” on how these boats sail, I suggest you talk to John!

The owner (a VERY experienced seaman) found himself caught in a force nine off St Albans Head, and while he didn’t enjoy it very much, he says he has the utmost respect for her sea keeping qualities, and the cockpit stayed dry!

This is a truly beautiful, well equipped yacht, a genuine passage making vessel that would cruise very comfortably with six yet would be easily sailed singlehanded.

This is a must for viewing.
