Construction

Construction GRP
Underwater profile Fin
Finish Gelcoat finish

In the 1970s/80s Colvic was one of the largest moulders of GRP yacht hulls in England, the bare hulls being then sold on both to professional yacht builders, and to DIY home finishers. The Countess 35 is a stretched version of the Countess 33, a deep-bodied, beamy, centre cockpit hull, with a choice of a longish fin keel or twin bilge keels. The deck mouldings were produced with or without an extended pilothouse. The only significant hull difference between the 33 and 35 is an extended transom. Because of the very wide standard of fit-out and layouts, prices can vary a great deal, as boats range from immaculately fitted out to quite rough amateur efforts. This example is immaculately fitted as you will see from the photographs. She is taken out of the water and cosseted for the winter months.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.
This Colvic Countess 35 is a stunning example. The hull and interior look amazing. A true credit to her owners. She may appear pricey but you have to see this vessel to appreciate her. If you value quality and sturdiness in a sailing yacht then this is the boat for you. She is cutter rigged so easy to handly and ideal for passage making. Her current owners have sailed her to many countries and felt safe and secure even in unforseen storm situations. She reminds me of a Malo crossed with a Moody. A fabulously presented vessel with a special feel to her.
